  • Xa Nhe is a commune located in the South of Tua Chua District. It is known by many people for Xa Nha fair market, Mong Pe wine, especially with interesting natural landscape, the typical is the landscape of Xa Nhe Cave. Xa Nhe Cave is called Kho Xo by the local Mong ethnic people (meaning dynamite cave since there were many bats in the cave, the local people use bat guano to make explosives).

  • Muong Luan Tower is an artistic architectural work with the value of visiting and researching, located in Muong Luan Village, Muong Luan Commune, Dien Bien Dong District, Dien Bien Province. From Dien Bien Phu City, follow Highway 279 to the South, turn left at Pom Lot junction to Na Sang, cross Keo Lom slope (wind valley), pass through Lu stream and go straight to Muong Luan Village about 90 km then reach the destination.

  • Kho Chua La Cave, a type of scenic beauty is located on the territory of Pang De A1 Village, Xa Nhe Commune, Tua Chua District, Dien Bien Province. Kho Chua La Cave is more than 1 km from the head office of Xa Nhe Commune People’s Committee, 300 m from the inter-commune road, about 15 km from the center Tua Chua District by asphalted road. This is a natural cave formed from geological formations for millions of years, with its pristine beauty and many splendid stalactites and strange shapes that create a rare natural beauty compared to the caves discovered in the territory of Tua Chua District.

  • Chieng So Tower relic is located in Muong Nha Village, Chieng So Commune, Dien Bien Dong District, Dien Bien Province. This is a quite unique artistic architectural relic, showing the solidarity and friendship of the people of the two countries: Vietnam – Laos. According to the legend, Vietnam – Laos have been naturally two nations with brotherhood, so in order to prove that close solidarity, the two nations together contributed to build a common belief work for the people living here.

  • Old Hang Tom Bridge was once famous as the most beautiful cable stayed bridge in the Northwest, connecting Muong Lay (Dien Bien) and Phong Tho, Sin Ho of Lai Chau. The reason that the Bridge is named Hang Tom is because this section of river formerly used to have too much shrimp. About 50 m from the Bridge, there is a “source” of very cool water. Shrimp floods in from the Da river to lay eggs, making a dense river of shrimp. Everyday, people take turns going up there to catch them and eat. But people around this area have an unwritten custom, that each family can only take about an hour to catch the shrimp and then another family continues.

  • Han Khuong Festival is a cultural and traditional event of Thai ethnic group in Dien Bien. It is usually organized after the harvest ends every November.

  • Address: Muong Phang Commune, Dien Bien City, Dien Bien Province.

  • Ban Phu Citadel is an interesting attraction and must-see destination for visitors in Vietnam. It’s located in Noong Het village, Dien Bien district, about 9 km from the West of Dien Bien Phu city and was built in the 15th century. Ban Phu Citadel is a historical landmark for the extermination of aggressors led by General Hoang Cong Chat. This is a place of cultural, artistic and spiritual life of Dien Bien people, attracting visitors to visit.

  • Located in Sin Thau commune, Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province, A Pa Chai is about 250 km from Dien Bien Phu. It is a milestone marking the territories of Vietnam, Laos and China.

  • Muong Phuong was well known as where Dien Bien Phu Offensive’s command headquarter was located. But Cherry Blososm Garden of Muong Phang, lies on an island of Pa Khoang Lake is still a hidden pearl of Dien Bien Phu.

  • Muong Lay is some kind of legendary destination to local travelers, who wish to set foot on the most remote soils of the country. Through the years, Muong Lay has changed quite a lot and its beauty is only accreted.

  • Parts of Pa Thom Village, the spectacular Pa Thom Cave is located to the west of Dien Bien District, adjoining the border between Vietnam and Laos. Interestingly, the local inhabitants usually refer to the cave as Tham Nang Lai which means the Full-of-Fairies Cave in Vietnamese language.

  • Pha Din Pass is one of the four great peaks of the Northwest region along with 3 passes of legendary O Quy Ho, Khau Pha and Ma Pi Leng. It's one of the most highlight tour to Dien Bien Phu Vietnam. In the local language, Pha Din means "heaven and earth", also a reference to the height of this pass.

  • Hua Pe hot spring is located in Thanh Luong commune, Dien Bien district. It is about 5km to the northwest of Dien Bien Phu city center.
