Muong Thanh Airport (presently Dien Bien Phu Airport)

Muong Thanh Airport (presently Dien Bien Phu Airport) was originally a field airport, a very important logistics base within Dien Bien Phu Fortress of the French. Today the airport is renovated and upgraded to a civil airport combined with military flight operations with a frequency of 2 flights/day. In the coming time, Dien Bien Phu Airport will be expanded to be capable of receiving more different types of aircraft and open a number of new routes to serve tourism activities to contribute to promoting socio-economic development and assuring defense and security.
