Muong Thanh Bridge, a field bridge over Nam Rom River, was pre-made and transported from France to be assembled in Dien Bien after the parachute occupation of Dien Bien Phu. To protect this lifeline bridge, the French arranged strongholds and weapons to prevent the enemy from attacking, crossing the bridge, and entering the Central Command Headquarter. During the total offensive attack on the entire Eastern high point on the morning of May 7^th, 1954, our troops destroyed all of Fortress A1 and strongholds at Muong Thanh Bridge to enter the group of Fortress and win the battle.

Muong Thanh Bridge is a relic that has been embellished and preserved to serve tourists. Over half a century, Muong Thanh Bridge is still preserved and always the "historic advance bridge".
