Dien Bien district kicked off the 10th Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of Ethnic Groups
On the evening of April 1st, at the National Historical and Cultural Relic Area of Ban Phu Citadel, Noong Het commune, Dien Bien district. Dien Bien District People's Committee organized the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of Dien Bien District's Ethnic Minorities. Attending the opening night were comrades: Tran Quoc Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Provincial party secretaries; Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches and leaders of Dien Bien district. Representatives of Phon Thoong district, Luang Prabang province, representatives of Muong May district, Phongsaly district (Lao People's Democratic Republic) and representatives of 9 provinces throughout the country also participated.

The 10th Festival of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ethnic Minorities in Dien Bien district, 2024, will be held from April 1-3, 2024, with the participation of over 500 artisans, actors, and athletes and art troupes from 21 communes in the district. At this year's festival, people and visitors will be able to visit and experience activities such as: Mass art festival, a national costumes show, folk dances, sports competitions and visit booths displaying cultural and tourism products, handicrafts, ethnic cuisine, agricultural and One Commune - One Product (OCOP) products; items associated with cultural life and community activities of ethnic groups inside and outside the province. Delegates and a large number of people attended the opening ceremony of the 10th Festival of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ethnic Minorities in Dien Bien district.
Especially, at this year's festival, Dien Bien district is honored to welcome 26 units inside and outside the province and the participation and performance of more than 80 artisans, actors and art teams from other districts such as: Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province; Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province.
The event has gathered more than 500 artisans, actors, athletes and art troupes from 21 communes in the district as well as other provinces such as Bac Giang, Hoa Binh, and Thai Nguyen, among others.

The annual festival aims to preserve, introduce and promote typical cultural values and traditional sports of 11 ethnic groups in Dien Bien district. This is also an opportunity for artisans, actors and athletes to meet, join in exchanges, strengthen the great national unity, mobilize cooperation of all people in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, thus helping to build an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
