Him Lam Martyr Cemetery was built from 1957 to 1960. Its upgrading was started on June 15^th, 1995 and ended on December 30^th, 1995 with a total area of 1.7ha, 869 graves.

The heroic history of the nation in the holy land Đien Bien Phu will remain forever. Many brave soldiers have sacrificed to regain independence and freedom for the nation. They are now rested at the Martyrs' Cemetery in the motherland. The future generations will always remember of their bravery.
